Ever since he was awarded the Salzburg First International Prize in 1982, Patrick Fournillier has enjoyed continuous and successful collaborations with the most important opera houses of Europe and North America. He has conducted The Tales of Hoffmann at the Metropolitan Opera; Don Quichotte and Carmen in Torino; Lucia di Lammermoor, Semiramide, Manon and Carmen in Berlin; Faust at the Ravenna Festival; Pagliacci and Cavalleria Rusticana in Seattle; Alfano’s Cyrano de Bergerac at La Scala and in Valencia and San Francisco; Faust at the Opernhaus Zurich; La Damnation de Faust in Dresden; Manon at the Opera de Nice; Werther in Munich; and Faust in Milan. He is a frequent guest at the Massenet Festival, where he led Cleopatra, the oratorio La Vierge, Esclarmonde, Grisélidis, Panurge and Le Cid, Gounod's Sapho and Thaïs.
