The Dutch National Ballet is one of the very top ballet companies in the world, with a rich and varied repertoire and an international troupe, with top dancers from over 25 countries.
In 2013 The New York Times ranked the company in the top five dance institutions in the world that presented new productions, and Süddeutsche Zeitung ranked the group in the international top three.
The Dutch National Ballet beliefs young talented dancers should be cherished and challenged. In 2013 the Junior Company was founded: a stepping stone for young dancers. The group has 13 young top dancers, selected out of hundreds of applicants from all over the world.
The Junior Company is a regular guest at important (inter)national venues and prestigious festivals. Its repertoire is a mixture of ballet classics, highlights of twentieth-century ballet and contemporary ballet from highly acclaimed choreographers like Hans van Manen and Krzysztof Pastor and young talented choreography talents like Ernst Meisner, Juanjo Arquez Milena Sidorova and Robert Binet.
